Autograph letters signed from Carleton Noyes, Cambridge, to Platt [manuscript], 19th or 20th century.

(1) is dated May 30. Noyes writes about an Englishman named [William Stone?] Booth, formerly with the Macmillan company in New York and Houghton Mifflin & Co. in Boston, and is now working on his book. Noyes has tried to understand his work on Bacon it but cannot apprehend Booth's dialectic. (2) Is dated Thursday. He refers to the Morgan-Platt debate and Edwin A. Abbott's Life of Bacon. Both letters are on printed letterhead from 338 Harvard Street, Cambridge. Both are addressed "My dear Platt."
